Sufjan is really deviating from his delicate, folksy beginnings, it’s more edgy. The experimenting is more extreme, but I dig it.

It’s one-thirty in the morning & right now to me this is the best thing on YouTube. I’m mesmerized & I need to go to bed. Starring Nathan Barnatt using the song “Something Good Can Work” by Two Door Cinema Club.
“Last Known Surroundings” by Explosions in the Sky
SO GOOD. I like how this really emphasizes the new direction with sound they took on Take Care, plus it’s really pretty.
“Simple Math” by Manchester Orchestra
Momentarily forgot about this awesome band until I scoured my last.fm profile earlier today. This video is crazy good.
East Meets West of the Day: Not wanting to unloose upon the world “another low-budget singer songwriter video,” Canadian Thom Yorke soundalike Drew Smith outsourced the music video for his latest single, “Smoke And Mirrors,” to Bangalore, India.
A few email exchanges and phone calls with a Virtual Assistant who “also happened to be a dance choreographer,” and Smith got back a lovely reel of Yakshagana- and Sandalwood-inspired visuals draped seamlessly over his song.

NEW: Friendly Fires - “Hurting”
This songs pretty catchy and this video is Awesomeee!
I love me some Friendly Fires but this video is a bit too weird. I really think all their vids ought to be set on a beach.
Too. Fun.
Music Video of the Day: Bon Iver - “Holocene”
Iceland provides the visuals in Nabil Elderkin’s music video for the band’s second single off Bon Iver, Bon Iver.

I will never not reblog anything & everything Bon Iver.
Robyn always starts out any legit road trip playlist of mine these days. Love it!
